FACILITIES PLANNING PRESENTATIONS

FACILITIES PLANNING

  • In considering the long-term facility needs of the district, Concord Community Schools has five goals in mind.

    1. Ensure safe and healthy learning environments.
    2. Maintain and ensure the functionality of our current facilities.
    3. Improve operating efficiencies to help offset operations fund losses.
    4. Update facilities to accommodate any new educational programming opportunities our community would like to create.
    5. Update facilities to accommodate any extracurricular programming our community would like to see.

  • Concord Community Schools hosted three planned Community Engagement Sessions during the 2023-2024 school year. Attendees at each event indicated support of the district’s facility goals and the preliminary project plans.

    • During the first session, held in November of 2023, district leaders and architect Eduardo Blanc of TMP Architecture provided an overview of the district and facility condition assessments for school buildings. The 97 attendees were asked to evaluate the master facility planning goals and guiding principles. CLICK HERE to view the presentation.

    • The December 2023 session invited attendees to provide feedback on some preliminary project ideas, while also reviewing the district’s financial outlook. All 82 attendees were invited to provide feedback on the proposed projects. CLICK HERE to view the presentation. HAGA CLIC AQUI PARA ESPAÑOL

    • The January 2024 session featured project renderings and encouraged attendees to provide feedback on the priority of each project, as well as the overall project scope. Thank you to everyone who participated and provided feedback throughout this process!

  • It is the desire of Concord Community Schools and the Concord School Board, to accomplish these goals while also maintaining the lower taxes our taxpayers have seen in their 2023 property taxes. It is also our desire to ensure our students are future ready and that we align our actions to help make that a reality for all.
