BE HAPPY is a free child psychiatry access program designed to address child & adolescent psychiatry shortages. It is supported by the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration, Division of Mental Health & Addiction.
They provide:
- Provider-to-provider phone consultation line to assist in medication management, assessment, diagnosis, screening & treatment planning.
- Community referral support with up-to-date psychiatric & community resources
- Educational opportunities related to pediatric mental health & substance use concerns
It is FREE and available Monday-Friday between 8am and 6pm (Eastern time zone) at (317) 278-7700.

- National youth outreach and prevention program for young people under the age of 18 (up to 21 years of age in some communities) in need of immediate help and safety. Teens can use TXT 4 HELP to text live with a mental health professional and get help.

In accordance with IC 20-30-5-5.7, students are to be instructed on child abuse and child sexual abuse. Instruction on child abuse and child sexual abuse will be delivered by the school counselor or school social worker who has training and expertise in this area. Parents are welcome to review the content used to instruct students in this area and are asked to contact their child's principal to make this request.
